Afraid of Climate change ?

(Changementclimatix)

The flash floods in Valencia were, actually, not a surprize. Take a car a drive between Cadix and Barcelona. No media would talk about that reality…

10 hours of continuous disaster: a non-stop GMO monoculture of wheat, sunflower, olive trees, citrus, all vastly financed by european money. All of those planted on land on which all biodiversity has been removed decades ago. The (roman) ancient water management systems were disconnected, the stormwater basins were destroyed, the dams were removed (108 only in 2021 — the WWF want to bust 5.400 of them.. well thanks a lot…and good luck), the whole riviera has been fully built with tourism resorts, with gargantuous watered golf courses in between. Add to that the square miles of plastic greenhouses saturated with forbidden chemicals carried by slaves. And finally, some riverbeds were coated with waterproof foil. Imagine !

All of those are pulling massively ground water, sucking salt water into the underground. The soil is dead, toplayers washed away with all its fertility.

And what do we get in the media ? Its the fault of climate change.

You must be kidding.

Spain is becoming a desert, and it is our own fault. Worse: we know very well what to do, but no-one would talk about it. Why ? Because this would imply doing something about it… and move our ass.

Putting the blame on “Climate Change” is just another way to scare people — because we cannot do anything about far away climate change, and that keeps us in fear, obedient and silent.

A narrative like - “that was a drama, but we can avoid that by”:

  • Create multiple dams and storm basins to capture water for later use
  • Re-create areas of biodiverse, nourishing spaces, enriching the soil
  • Stop building and pouring concrete, better, remove concrete where you can

Would never be welcome today as narrarive. But why ???

Now, how can we make ‘him’ our friend, Climate Change, that ‘monster’ ?

  • Stop thinking you can stop him. He is stronger. Become humble, don’t thing you are stronger than nature, than God… Stop complaining, and adapt. Get started.
  • Detect areas where more rain is going to fall, to fertilize and regenerate it. Create new ecosystems in arid regions, and make added value.
  • Take that opportunity to do what you can to avoid those dramas, and make it our job and excellence.
  • Massively switch to a healthy, regenerative agriculture.
  • Massively reforest in nourishing biodiversity, with family and communities. Get credits for it… and in case of other shocks, it will offer survival food resilience.
  • Learn how ancient cultures did. Romans mastered it… Listen and learn from indigeneous communities.
  • Have fun.

Stop fighting or ignoring the monster — whilst he can become your friend. Commit to a Long-Term Relationship: Real friendship with the monster requires ongoing effort. To maintain a healthy relationship with the climate, it would mean constant care, learning, and adaptation, knowing that every small action is a step toward peace.
