After the Cop26 drama: a systemic problem we underestimated…

--

Winter 2021–2022: a quick and dirty assessment.

Cop26: no deal.

Green Deal: no plan.

Post Covid plans: not enough money, no measuring success, no systemic leverage.

The 17 UN SDG’s: nice communication — homeopathic action.

Citizens: want to go back to “before” + want “something else” + do not want to change anything + are in collective psychosis + totally fed up with their jobs + anchored into peer-to-peer nurturing anxiety.

50th anniversary of Club of Rome’s “Limits to Growth”: no solution kit. Destruction of people, environment and economy goes on and on.

Governments: are lost in complexity.

Why ?

Because we largely underestimated a major systemic problem: NOBODY CARES + EVERYBODY IS AFRAID. Even though we have all rational scientific evidence, concrete solutions everywhere. We know its bad business to go on like that, we know its bad for health & longevity, for humanity, for planet, for economy itself, for our investments.

Most most of people are afraid, weak, waiting for a train that will NOT enter the station any more. Never.

“Everybody expects somebody to act, nobody does, whilst anybody could.”

The best solutions are carried by the humble. They are so simple and so efficient that they stay under the radar. We have found a few dozens…

So today at least WE ARE SURE: collectively, society will miss the shift. The best we can expect is to build some “Resilience Islands” with humble courageous allies. And attract others inside them.

Good luck to you.
